I have spent the past two years in Lansing fighting to create good-paying jobs now and protecting our way of life, and I intend to keep fighting. I am truly honored that you chose me to be your voice in Lansing.

A lot of people in Lansing are too busy protecting special interest groups and wealthy corporations rather than fighting for our hard-working families. We must focus on the right priorities: We must strengthen our education system to create the best-educated workforce possible. We must put a halt to the trash lobby running amok all over our state, putting our land, air and water in jeopardy. And we must make Michigan competitive by harnessing our natural resources to attract renewable energy job providers and global investors to our communities.

I have been, and will continue to be, an independent voice for change. I will continue working hard to move Michigan forward and make West Michigan a better place to live, work and raise our families.
